The photo period has alot to do with the spawn. The white bass will spawn in March as they always do. Although the forecast calls for unseasonable weather the water temps in the lakes wont warm that quickly, just be patient.
I have a faucet underground next to the well house that acts as a drain. I shut off the valve in the well house on the line leading to the yard faucets and open the faucet drain. During the middle of a warm day I will close the faucet drain and open the water valve and fill the deer's water...
I own and have shot my 6.5 CM and my .308 side by side. The CM was a little bit tighter at 100 yds. The holes overlapped at 100 yds on the CM and the .308 were 3/4" group. I love both rounds and have taken elk, deer, coyotes, pigs and armadillos with the .308. My point is if you properly place...
I inherited my fathers 39 and it should be very accurate. Growing up I used to shoot pack rats at 35 yards with iron sights when they would stand up on the quail feeder. That has now been passed down to my son and grandson.
The last 3 deer I have killed I have chosen a high neck shot. The bullets snapped the spine and they were DRT. Nothing to track. Normally, I have chosen the heart area but I have switched now.

I'm going afield tomorrow with my Ruger 6.5 Creedmore. I checked zero today and found it to have holes touching at 100 yards, 2" high at 100 yards. First time to carry it hunting and am really impressed with this accuracy with 140 grains factory loads.
Yes, I planted the farm a couple weeks ago with Vince and Creekwood before that just waiting for some rain. The BFO's are up at the farm and Creekwood is starting to come out of dormancy.
I am using a 17' Lund, which is a deep V aluminum, with a 115 Johnson and will run around 38 mph. It is set up for drifting or trolling with 6 rod holders. Perfect for me for crappie or catfish plus trolling for hybrids. It's fuel efficient and does everything I want.
