    Hastings Closing Up Shop

Where will we buy Red Dirt albums now? The only times I've been in their in the past 10 years was to buy local band CDs that aren't available online.

The Lack of "Community" on OSA

I'm an OG from back in the day. I check in now an then, but haven't posted in some time. Too many trolls outside the general discussion section (it's expected there, no issue w that). The classified section here used to be great. Now, half or better are posts from site sponsors. This is from...

If You Are PLanning To Fill The Gas Tank....

Both sides of this need to learn two simple concepts - EMPATHY and HUMILITY. You don't see oil producers dancing in the street or bragging about how great $100+ oil is for them personally, because (1) they realize how hard it is on the rest of the economy (2) they're all scared $hitless of how...

If You Are PLanning To Fill The Gas Tank....

I have never read so much BS stacked on top of more BS in my life. I remember why I quit coming on here. I laid off 8 "oilfield" workers today, so I've got a little knowledge on the subject. Oilfield equipment manufacturing, not oil production. Not one of them made over $40k a year. What...

    Lefty Rem 788 in 308win

Left Hand 788s were only made from '69-'80. I've never seen how many units were produced in that time frame, or how many MIGHT be 308. I'm guessing precious few. I've been looking for one for several years and have only come across one, and the owner wouldn't part with it. I'll pay fair market...

Pluging your .22(3) cal mags for Deer Gun

All that, then I uploaded the wrong video to YouTube... Should be the one with the pencil. If you could re-fix me I'd appreciate it Hooligan. https://youtu.be/G9vfk_-XNtU

Pluging your .22(3) cal mags for Deer Gun

Necroposting, but didn't think I needed to start a new thread for this. Made a video showing how I convert my 10rd AR mags to 7rd capacity. https://youtu.be/G9vfk_-XNtU

    100-yards+ 20 round shootout

    More sheds

What causes the acorn tips? Is it a sign of age or anything in particular, or just coincidence? I shot one this year that had one, never seen it before around here.

need a beetle keeper for European mount

Without a toilet, locked in an unventilated box, YES I would most definitely stink. I can't keep a straight face and say my chit don't stink. Don't think the beetles can either.

need a beetle keeper for European mount

I have a hard time believing that any critter eating dead chit doesn't stink... Regardless, I don't want to mess with it myself. Much rather pay someone that enjoys that kind of stuff, I really don't. Skulls Unlimited prob does use beetles, but still in OKC almost 2 hours away. Tulsa is 45min...

need a beetle keeper for European mount

got this one during rifle season. 300yds with 270win. perfect shot, dropped in about 3 steps. Green score of 129 1/2. I have 2 on the wall already, a 145 and a non typical. So figured I'd go skull mount on this one. We did European mount on my wife's deer from a guy way down south of Blanchard...

    Chiggers!

Prevention works, time cures. it stinks, not environmentally friendly and ruins jeans, but paint/spray diesel fuel on the bottom 2 inches of your pant legs (outside your boots) and it will absolutely prevent chiggers on the legs. haven't figured out a cure for those smart SOBs that jump...

    motorized plinker target

Years back at one of the bigger gun shows, there was a guy selling the coolest motorized reset target. An independent guy I think, for sure not a "big" manufacturer. Didn't buy one at the time because it was a lot of money back then. Would really like to have one now... It had like 6 targets...

    Post 'em

It would be turnips and rye grass if it had gotten some rain. We've had exactly 0.97" since planted the week after Labor Day.

One-buck proposal for the combined muzzleloader and gun seasons

Totally agree. I'm not going to point the guy out, but I called the game ranger for the county I was in during muzzle loader season when I rolled up on a couple guys with a rifle layed over the cab of the truck about to drop the hammer on small buck in a persimmon patch beside the county road...
