since FN made tons of M16A2 rifles for the armed forces I am sure that there will be no QC issues. I was issued three different M16A2's during my years in, all were FN.

Shiningbeam Spark. Freaking love it. 280 lumen, tail clicker, 4 modes ( twist head for mode, will stay in mode until you change it), ability to run 2AA or CR123 with whatever tube you choose. its an inexpensive light that is superbly built and bright as hell.

never never never NEVER mix less lethal and lethal in the same platform. That is monumentally not good. Bears, mt. lions two legged drug growers etc will more than likely not respond the way you intend for them too. I have used less lethal (spray and taser) and it did not go like I thought...
if by spring assisted you mean Kershaw ZT Gerber etc etc etc that have a speedsafe/flipper type design.....then yes those are legal. Any knife that REQUIRES the manipulation of a button or switch to release the spring to open the blade are considered illegal in the eyes of the court system.
