Speaking before the United Nations General Assembly, President Obama justifiedthe NSA’s spying programs, arguing they have helped to stabilize the world in the five years since he took office.

“As a result of this work, and the cooperation of its allies and partners, the world is more stable than it was five years ago,” the president said on Tuesday morning.

Nonetheless, Obamaalso told the audience that the United States would review its surveillance practices due to concerns raised by the international community. Prior to the president’s speech, in her own remarks, Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff sharply criticized the U.S. program, calling it a “breach of international law” and “totally unacceptable.”

It's about time he stopped blaming Bush for everything and started taking responsibility for things.

The US is more stable than it was 5 years ago (or 20 years ago for that matter).

More guns in the hands of private citizens since Obama took office than ever before (the opposite of what he wanted, but he can still jump in and take credit and use mis-direction like he always does). Crime is actually taking a dive as it has continued to do for quite some time (while gun-purchases go up).

This is the most self-agrandizing man the world has ever known. He gives new meaning to the word "narcissist". The sad part of it is he has a following of millions and most of them are in positions of power. They remain loyal to him in order to preserve themselves.

We're getting what we deserve.
