I haven’t even got my long range orientation. Guess I need to get off my duff.
Yeah. Details are non existent, but there will be separate orientations for up to 600, and the 1k range.
They were talking about some sort of proficiency test. At least making certain that potential shooters can hit somewhere close to the target.
That leaves me out!

Same here. I've spent so much time working at 200 and 300 perfecting loads, calling wind etc, that I haven't gone over to the 550. That needs to change

Dirtwork should be done in the next 2 weeks or so, barring bad weather or mechanical breakdowns.
I don't know how long it will take to finish it after the dirtwork is completed. Targets, firing points, whatever else.

Most of those old farts out there couldn't see a Fire Dept. ladder truck at a thousand, and "proficiency" isn't part of their vocabulary.
I bet most of those old farts can out shoot you. I know they can me.
