I have heard some of my shooting buddies praise the RIA guns as a carry piece or a plinker. So I ask them why they don't shoot them in competition and get deer in the headlight looks from them. Even the Colts these guys have are heavily worked by a smith, if you spend $1300 on a Gold Cup and then send it off for a workover, wait the 6 months to a year to get it back, you have a ton of money and time invested into a gun you will probably never recoup. For the high dollar guns there is no reason they should not group 3' at 50 Yards off a ransom rest. We accept less and get it more and more these days.
