Sir, step away from the toolbox!
According to Indiana newspaper (link below), an 11-year old boy allegedly shot his state trooper father with dad's .45 caliber service weapon because video games were taken away from the child.
The officer says he kept the gun locked in his police vehicle because he didn't want kids to have access to it.
On Feb 22, the boy supposedly retrieved the gun and a taser from the locked patrol car in the driveway.
The son reportedly went to parents' bedroom and shot the sleeping officer in the buttocks; the boy supposedly said he wanted to shoot daddy in the head but couldn't because of the way the man was lying in the bed.
Mom said she heard the bang, got up and found the service weapon outside their bedroom; she grabbed the gun and called 911. The woman said she then saw the son coming back up the stairs with a BB gun and the taser.
She locked the bedroom door until cops got there.
Police say the man's condition is "steadily improving."
Boy supposedly told the cops he had tested the taser on the family dog before the shooting and if that he didn't get a Play Station, an XBox and a computer, "there would be a Part 2."

I reckon these parents are reaping what they've sewn. Yeah, that does sound harsh but it's probably accurate. I hope the fella recovers and is able to handle this issue in a positive way with this young man.

The young child definitely needs to see a psychiatrist. There’s a bigger problem than video games and being spoiled here.
