I was running late yesterday and in the rush I forgot my chronograph. I did get some rounds on paper and I will say there is potential. 100 yards for all shots. 30-06 did best but I had made some with different seating depths and found the bullet did not like to be seated long. There is not much bearing surface on these 110 and 125 bullets and not much space left in a .308 case after charging it with IMR4064. I used Winchester cases and one of them had the powder .030" below the mouth. I weighed that case vs the other ones and there was 30 grain difference in case weight! I did not use that case. 4064 was just starting to get into the neck of the .308 if that tells you anything. 30-06 was way up there also :) 30-06 125 gr tore a large hole that measured .685" outside to outside with tight neck tension. 3 shots. Seated deeper 3.122" OAL. I tried .001" neck tension in 30-06 and that was a fail 2.4" 3 shot... triangle shaped group. I got 1.050" group with the 110 and tight neck tension .004" seated to 3.115" OAL. That was a 3 shot with 1 federal case and 2 remington cases. Adjusted scope to get it into the bullseye and shot 2 more of that 110 gr that 2 shot group was .217" sideways figure 8 just .8" left of bullseye. Good enough for shooting so I let my buddy head into the woods with that 30-06 with instructions to hit in the side through rib and hit the heart if he can. No neck shots yet with this 110 from the 30-06. He actually shot one! Busted ribs going in and then took the top of the heart off (mangled) took out a lung then busted through ribs of the other side. That was the 110 gr and I bet it is in the 3300 fps area. 70 yard shot. I wanted to see if it would hold together at high velocity and it did seem to. Deer is hanging and will be skinned today for more results. Heart is still edible. Deer crouched and ran low to the ground for 35-40 yards and then piled up. This load is for modern bolt action 30-06 rifles and kicks quite hard as did the 125 gr load. You can get scope eye from this. Rifle is Mossberg 100ATR 22" barrel. The .308 I only made 1 load which was 110gr with IMR4064 1.5" 4 shot group, one of the shots opened the group from a .680" 3 shot group. It is what it is. I do have some more and when I get time I will send some over a chrony. And I will be making more of these as I kind of like them 110 gr so far. With all the rounds shot from the 30-06 loose cases and tight ones and 110 and 125 bullets the entire group measured 2.6" or 1.3" for tight ones only. So the 125 and 110 are going in the same vicinity.
