I have not used those in .308 but I have used a lot of different 150 gr and BL-C (2) at 45 gr was amazing.
50 yard nearly the same hole.
Excellent squirrel load, right to the head every time.
100 yards under 1" a lot of those bullets I used were old speer and sierra and some were .307" diameter mostly made for 30-30 rifles. I had a lot of them.

147 gr FMJ can produce some exceptional groups with little effort, usually toward the upper powder tier. I use them for plinking rounds in my .308 and 300blk. Found a off brand(brand name slips my mind right now)of 147gr FMJ that cloverleafs in my AR10 at 200yds. A friends gun didn't like them so I swapped him straight across to help him out. Thought I could pull them down for components if nothing else. Was shooting my AR10 and thought I would give them a whirl and was pleasantly surprised.

I thought they would be good for at least plinking. I have never heard of .307 for
30-30. Why is that?

Cool. I’ll have to load these up and go to swampratt’s and help him out.

I read that back in the 60's Sierra decided to put .307" diameter on the boxes more than likely to differentiate the 30-30 bullet from the pointy non 30-30 bullets.

Many people have measured them and they got measurements from .308 to .309".
here are mine I have left.

147gr FMJ are made by all the big bullet companies for the military as it's the projo for M80 ball. Put a magnet on it. 9 outta 10 it'll stick.

They are great for 300 BLK at 1800-2000fps.

Some shoot great and some shoot like garbage. Depends on the manufacture.
