My kids have had a power wheels for years. When the first 12v battery bit the dust I bought a new one for 80ish$. The new one bit the dust last year and the powerwheels has just been sitting in the back yard ever since. I was not going to buy a new battery since the wheels are out of alignment now and the kids rarely played with it. Well last week I was on YouTube and saw where people were converting them to 18 volt by putting Milwaukee batteries in them. I had a Ryobi flashlight that I never use so I dremmeled the head off and wired it up today. Kids are LOVING it again and have not stopped riding all morning. Easy swap out and instead of charging for hours for 30 minutes of play it's swapped to 30 minute charge for around 40 minutes of play. Wish I had thought of it sooner.

How many seconds did that conversion shave off the quarter mile time?

I hate to be that guy but make sure you are using a fuse in that system 25amp max or you could melt some wires or burn up a switch. You can pop the top off the power wheels battery and use the connector and breaker on it. Those wires off the flashlight look real small for the amps that thing is pulling under load.

When my kids where small I had about 30 power wheels and peg peregos come through my garage. It got a lil out of control. I did 18v conversions for them using 12v and 6v lead sealed batteries in series. They always had the fastest and coolest rides in the neighborhood.

Reminds me of that little girl that went viral several years ago for drifting her power wheels. Here dad made up a few custom setups for her. She had some serious skill with those things.
