20 Round mag to CA-LEO. Legal? So, I have a dilemma. Had a 20 round Ruger mag on gunbroker. Guy who was the winning bidder is apparently a California Law Enforcement Officer. Sent me the following message: I'll be in Virginia for a week of training and will return home on the 25th. I can send a money order on the 26th if that is ok. I do live in California but I am a full time peace officer and am entitled to purchase high capacity magazines. I will include a copy of my ID card with the payment if you would like. Please let me know if you require anything else. Im not sure how to proceed. I figured CA LEOs would only be able to purchase for their duty weapons and then on department letterhead. Sort of like during the Clinton ban. Supposedly, you can ship a magazine unassembled to CA and still be within the law provided there is a this is for parts only understanding. Never run into this before. Any ideas? Dave
