The majority of ours get grilled rare. If you're only experience with waterfowl was baked somehow in an oven..........yeah it's absolutely yuck.

Made it out tonight with two buddies, one of their sons and took my 5 year old on her first duck hunt. She was so excited to hold the drake I shot as soon as I got done chasing it in the boat and doing doughnuts in the water. We got home and she says "dad, I want to hold the other one."
"Ok, pick it up."
Not even my wife would hold the bird, lol.

Hadn't checked in on the waterfowl thread for a couple days.
Those are some GREAT pic MIH! I showed my wife and she commented on how cute it was
Get that girl out some more so when your my age, she can call for you and all you have todo is shoot!

Went out with a buddy, my son and one of his friends. Those kids can sure make a call sing. Had a great hunt but needed to wrap up early. While we were at the trucks after packing up, three or four groups came low and slow over the field. Could have had more but it was a good morning with friends and family. Got some big uns. Second pic is for size comparison and last one is greater vs. lesser, quite a difference.

Great pics, you guys have the geese figured out for sure! We're still poking away at them, it's gotten kind of slow here, still birds around but not like a couple of weeks ago and their kind of random. Shooting a few each hunt but no limits.
