Made 2 piles of the cows pooey hay and once the composting heat subsided planted taters in 1 and sweet taters in the other we'll see how it turns out.. We made some of our own sweet tater slips and also bought some off of etsy since they weren't available local..
I do similar just in a different way. I call what I use in my entire garden “poop dirt”, because it’s dug out of a spot I fed hay a few years ago. It’s black and evidently very rich.:thumb:

I saw that last year ? Yes it is good stuff, had visitors here not long ago who wanted some of it and when I told them it was gold they knew they weren't getting any of it.. It and logs are what fill our 5x10x24" raised beds which take a LOT of fill, more than this guy wants to pay for..

I’ve got a spot that’s about an acre, and all I do is skim the top with my skid steer. I can fill ALOT of raised beds.:thumb:

My little squash patch is really coming on. Sunday, I picked 18, Monday, I picked 22, and yesterday, I picked 15. I’ve sautéed two pans with a little butter and garlic salt, and I will probably do that again today. It’s so good.:thumb:

Let that squash grow a tad bigger, cut them in half, hollow them out with a spoon and fill them with a hamburger mix like a stuffed green pepper.
Really tasty!
We also slice them about 3/4" thick length wise, soak in Italian dressing for a bit and put on the grill like a burger. Also very tasty.
