One of the guys on my lease and his son are pretty green when it comes to hunting. Their setup is behind the big dirt mounds. He said, ‘ya know what? I think we’ll hunt it anyway’. Well, they ended up seeing 4 or 5 deer with one being a nice shooter. The boy was using a scoped 30-30 and took a shot. 4 of us started looking for blood but found nothing. He said the deer put its head down and walked away with its tail swishing. It didn’t bolt out of there. I’m thinking possible gut shot. It was already misty and slightly sprinkling. Clear gut juice would be impossible to see.I’m going to go back in a couple hours and poke around though.</blockquote>
