<blockquote data-quote="brian8903" data-source="post: 4007444" data-attributes="member: 52926">It&#039;s been a minute since I&#039;ve been on Okshooters,&nbsp; I was Brian89 previously and had some password/email issues so I re-registered.&nbsp;&nbsp; I&#039;ve been scrolling through this thread looking at all the great bucks everyone harvested this past season.&nbsp; &nbsp; I thought I&#039;d contribute and share my family&#039;s 2022 success.&nbsp;&nbsp; (pic heavy)My 14 year old shot this buck at Pushmataha&#039;s early youth hunt.&nbsp;&nbsp; It was 85 degrees and windy on this hunt.&nbsp;&nbsp; Pure luck getting this one..&nbsp; He was 1 of 3 bucks killed on this hunt.&nbsp;&nbsp; He drew Push in 2021 and shot a very nice 8 point.[ATTACH=full]364574[/ATTACH]I shot this buck the week after my son,&nbsp; he was my target buck on this particular place.&nbsp;&nbsp; One good cold front got him on his feet for a 19 yard shot with my bow.&nbsp; [ATTACH=full]364575[/ATTACH]Two weeks later I went on my controlled hunt to Sequoyah NWR and tagged out on the second to the last day.&nbsp;&nbsp; Also shot a nice hog.[ATTACH=full]364576[/ATTACH]Thanksgiving day my daughter and I were watching the Macy&#039;s parade and my Covert started sending me pics mid day of a nice 8 point.&nbsp;&nbsp; I showed her the pics and she said lets go get him tonight!&nbsp;&nbsp; Half an hour before dark he shows up and she makes a perfect shot on him,&nbsp; we got to watch him fall 30 yards from the blind.[ATTACH=full]364577[/ATTACH]December 1st the buck I&#039;ve been after for 3 seasons made a mistake and chased the last hot doe out that morning.&nbsp;&nbsp; This was my first daylight encounter with him.&nbsp;&nbsp; I shot him at 125 yards with my 6.5 CM hand loads.&nbsp;&nbsp; He ran 60 yards and piled up.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; I&#039;ve never been more emotional after shooting a buck.&nbsp;&nbsp; I&#039;ve hunted hours and hours for this guy.&nbsp;&nbsp; I know of 5-6 other guys hunting him within 2 miles of me.&nbsp; It was really an honor to get him.&nbsp; &nbsp; I took him to rack madness in OKC, he taped out at 172-5/8&quot;&nbsp; gross,&nbsp; net 162-3/8&quot;.[ATTACH=full]364579[/ATTACH][ATTACH=full]364578[/ATTACH]I didn&#039;t waste any time getting this guy mounted up.[ATTACH=full]364580[/ATTACH]</blockquote>
