My Doc says there is no correlation between the care you are given versus the money charged to you by the corporation. More and more Docs are being squeezed out of private practice and being forced to be employees of the big medical corporation There is "free" or very low cost health care out there, but they don't advertise so most folks don't realize it. There are some limits on this, just be advised. For example, if you live within a few zip codes in OKC, Crossings Church provides free healthcare at their medical complex on N Penn Ave, very close to the library and the Y, between Britton and Hefner Road. Medical, dental, I think sometimes even free legal advice by attorneys who volunteer their time. In OKC, Variety Care has a good number of Clinics where they provide either very cheap or free health care services. If you need hospitalization, you're probably on your own. You'll just have to ask around, google, etc, talk to your doc etc. Best wishes to you. OH, by the way, you NEED to use Good RX dot com, and/or download their app. I have saved a LOT of $$$ by buy scripts at Costco, Sams or wallymart pharmacy first of all, and they accept Good RX. It really works, no gimmick, no gotcha's. For example, My Doc prescribed a med, sent it over to Walgreens where I get most of my scripts, and my insurance would not pay it for all. Walgreens wanted $181.00 to pay for it. Bullpucky! I plugged the medicine name into Good RX, and it showed pharmacies near me and their prices. Wallymart Pharmacy, next block over from Walgreens, sold it to me for only $16.87 !!! I just called Doc and had them send the script to Wallymart Pharmacy and it was a done deal. $181.00 vs $16.87 cash, are you kidding me? Good RX gave me a list of various pharmacies within the area and their prices, it varies, so do that!!!! (I could have easily transferred the script from Walgreens to Wallymart via their app for website, but that takes a littel longer because Walgreens drags their feet). To be fair, I think Walgreens would have accepted GoodRX, but not to the price that other pharmacies charge such as Wallymart in this particular instance. I don't know of any pharmacy that does not accept Good RX, there are probably some but I have not run across any. And BTW the wallymart pharmacy is referenced to is at Hefner & Rockwell in OKC, it's a neighborhood wallymart grocery with a pharmacy, with a drive up window, I detest going to the big wallymart super centers. That made it a no brainer for me.
