I really enjoy seeing you alls Deer you have taken. But would like details, or lies! Both are fun to read/hear!

Buddy and I drove the Jeep all day, we kicked up multiple beds of deer. I have about a 40 acre patch in a corner of a big pasture that is loaded of briars, blackjacks, big cedars, sumac and blackberries. It’s a safe haven for them. I sent him to check the Deer Blind and the boat I offered @swampratt. Jeff said I had the biggest sumac he has ever seen.

This is Buddy. A mean ass ******* but loyal bud! He is trained to go out the window if needed hastily. I don’t let him run Deer just every once in a while if we see one out in the open pasture I have let him “try”! And he can sniff out trespassers fast.

I got this post card worthy pic from a buddy of mine. There is a stand in the tree by the grain bin. I told him I only want a doe and should be there by about 3:30. Looking forward to a nice hunt on a beautiful afternoon.

It was still $600/acre 20 years ago. :thumb:
I agree it’s getting slim in our neck of the woods also. When Ifirst farmed in this area it was dirt roads and no barb anywhere. Now it’s yuppies with some old family farms scattered around. Some of young sell it off as soon as they inherit it. We are still putting out to work young in the field teaching them the old ways.

Thanks! Got me thinking! Maybe it’s time to apply for the tax stamp… mine has a red dot, maybe time for a scope and suppressor!
Would be a fun deer gun!
My 11.5 SBR runs a 1x primary arms micro prism. My 12.5 is a “pistol” running a magpul BTR brace and a Primary Arms 1-6 aurora scope. I run my form 1 can on both with different adapters. 12.5 is generally my go to but that 11.5 has been used a few times too. Thinking my 14” 870 and some slugs should go after a doe next week….
