[QUOTE="LittleLoggie, post: 4371688, member: 37294"] After years of chasing deer around and taking a few does. Making rookie mistakes, letting some walk that I regretted later on, shooting a nice big 8 two year ago that unfortunately was never recovered. I finally dropped a buck! I’ve seen this guy on camera all year and was going to let him walk if I came across him as he was a smaller 9 point. But on Friday evening he stepped out and I was on the fence about taking him now because he had a bad front leg and wouldn’t put any weight on it. I watched him for about 25 minutes debating on it. Then he started moving out…was no way I was going to let him walk. One shot of the .308 and he was down with in 10 yards. About 30 seconds later I hear my buddy/land owner take a shot from other side of the land. We just doubled up!! And he got a nice big 11 point. We joked about me needing to take 1 of his points. After gutting the deer we found the cause of why my deer had a gimp leg. a bullet buried in his shoulder. Below are a few pics.
