Ah Ha, do any of you old computer guys remember the first one of these connect the dots pictures I saw years ago of a well endowed lady sitting down from the side? It was back in the TRS-80 connected to a BBS days, way before you could display a picture on your screen. I had just purchased my first ever printer and printed it out (By accident of course.)

Getting old, can't remember her name that was at the bottom. In my opinion it was an icon, kinda the start of the computer porn industry.
You pups are too young to remember teletype.
I used to type letters home on them. The text was on the side of the punched ribbon. The reciepient had to unroll the ribbon to read it and if I was in a talkative manner, it was a pile on the floor.
I think I have one or two in the attic from my parents estate. If I have time, I'll take a pic and post it.

Did not do teletype, got in just after that era, busy going fast before that, 279 was fast back then in a nitro funny car. I did interface a Compaq portable computer I used for my business (looked like a portable sewing machine when I took it on airline flights) to a teletype chain printer, which was very fast in it's day. I am only 69, but still kicking the rudder pretty well on both my airplanes. I will miss flying when I get old like I miss riding dirt bikes now, Still have the trophy from a Zink Hill Climb event.

Ok, found a picture of the ASCII naked lady referred to in a previous post, but her name was missing. Lisa I think. Sitting on her knees, shot from the side, well rounded accessories. Ha, impressive at the time. Most on this site will not understand about computers that only did text, no graphics. No pictures, only text. Some interesting people figured out a way to do pictures out of using only text back then. This is about how this thread started, right? I wonder if Glocker realizes he just gave a few of us a flashback of reality.

OSA is good for old guys, promoting brain strain to keep the neutrons firing. Some with rational thoughts, some otherwise. I do have a crazy uncle Joe that would fit well in here well if he had the personality to log in, but it most likely will not happen.

Hey, glad to be alive in Oklahoma rather than dead anywhere else. Yep, we are thinkin right.

Yeah, i'm familiar with the text-only system. Spent too much time with ASCII and UTF...still do! Glad you liked it!!!
