2nd Amendment in Action: Paraplegic Homeowner Kills Shotgun-Wielding Inturder July 23, 2012 By Robert Gillock - Web News Editor Police say a 27-year-old man who broke into a Johnstown home early Sunday was looking for guns when the paraplegic homeowner shot and killed him. Brian Dyer, of Johnstown, entered the Sunset Drive home through an unlocked door wearing a ski mask, took a shotgun from a bedroom and used it to poke and wake up the homeowner asleep on a couch in a den, Johnstown Police Chief Don Corbin said Monday. Dyer demanded the location of more guns, which the homeowner told him while pushing the shotgun aside. The man then opened fire with a handgun he kept by his bed, Corbin said. Dyer died at the scene. Police are investigating how Dyer knew guns were in the house. Corbin does not intend to charge the homeowner, but will present the case to the Licking County Prosecutors Office once the investigation is complete. Authorities were called to the scene at 2:21 a.m. Sunday. More Here http://www.fishgame.com/newsblog.php?p=10606 More details here on Original story. Gives more insight to Ohio's Castle Doctrine.. it is a lot more restrictive thsn Oklahoma's version.
