In a previous thread I was having issues with the scope base on my rifle. I got that fixed and now have it zeroed in for 25 yards. I entered in my data and got the following information. I wanted to check and see if what I have sounds right to anyone else that has a ballistic calculator before I go on to zero it at 200 yards. Images are below, but basically it says the following in 1 mil increments:

Fed Eagle 150gr.
BC .408
Muz vel = 2820
Sight height = 2.5"
Altitude = 1025
Temp = 95
Pressure = 30
Humidity = 58

25yds: 0
100yds: +1.8
200yds: +1.6
300yds: +1.1
.
.
.
.
.
.
1000yds: -5.4

Thanks,

Jake

Shooter shows very similar results. I bet you are closer to 2700 out of an M1A than 2820 though.

I bet you're right. That was factory information which I believe is usually measured with a 24" barrel. I have a 18" scout.

On a side note, I shot a pretty good group with it today while I was out there with surplus ammo. I'll get this rifle dialed in and post some results. I'm going to do a thread going over all the changes I've made to this M1A and how each one affected it's accuracy. Thanks again for checking your software. Time to go confirm at the range.

I am interested to see your results! My DPMS is still up for a challenge if you ever get to Tulsa.

Ha! I'm getting there. I shot this group today at 100 yards with some Czech surplus 308. Hope to close it up with some match grade. Definitely a lot better then when I first got it. It would have been a really good group if it wasn't for that low right one. Oh well. I'm planning on putting a thread together showing everything I have done to the rifle from stock until now.
