Ok, not quite that dramatic but this weekend two friends and I are going to have some 45-70 fun.
100 yards, then 200 then 300 each shooting our 45-70's.
I have a 26" Browning 1886, one friend has a H&R Buffalo Classic and the 3rd will have his new Marlin 1895G. We're all pretty green with 45-70 but it'll be fun to see what hold over we will need to hit the plate at 300 on a 50 yard zero
Here are my freshly handloaded goodies for the big day (I ran out of projectiles):
