everyone keeps saying .458 socom brass is a problem ... after digging a bit and finding lowest price for 100 rd is $78 +shipping
$370 for 500 rds .. good grief that's just for the brass ...

This is why, after being hot on the idea of owning a .458 upper, I cooled off and decided to wait and see if the price of brass or factory ammo ever comes down. Yeah, right.

When I looked before, Lane Silencers and Wepons made one that was well liked. I can only imagine what the rifle and suppressor would weigh. I'd like to own one and find out!

I'll weigh mine when I get a chance. Mine is the Wilson Combat 14.7" with permanently attached muzzle device bringing it to just beyond 16" and their Whisper suppressor. Also have their handguard. It's not super heavy.

sweeet ... so how do you handle the brass costs issues?
this is not like a bolt gun where one can easily save brass.
AR15 brass is flying all over ...

just grin and pay it? :hithead:

I try to pick up most of it but I don't get too hung up on the price. It's not something to go shoot 500 rounds through in a weekend like a 5.56 AR.
