Somewhat curvy an frequent small hills. I was driving a 2003 Duramax 4x4 with only 68,000  and that Allison did nothing but search for gears the entire trip. When I thought it should be down shifting, it was doggy. When I was accelerating it would'nt shift up and sounded like that duramax was coming thru the firewall. Averaged 7.6 mpg driving 60-70mph. This was my first Duramax haul and my last, I'll take my powerstroke anyday over that. I've hauled similar weight with my 6.0l with no issues and still got 12mgp. Is this the norm?</p></blockquote><p></p>
