I have killed many with the Core-Lokt in 30-06 and 1 with the 129 gr in 6.5x55. It was hit in the brisket head on and it turned and ran 20 yards and fell over. The 150gr in 30-06 has punched exit holes in a double lung that sprayed blood in a 40 foot triangle all over the frozen grasses and that deer also went 20 yards and fell over. The ELDM and Amax bullets will create devastating trauma and come apart easier than the Core-Lokt. Heart shots are iffy on bullets that mushroom. Yea the deer will die but it may go a long ways. V-max or A max bullets or thin jacketed varmint bullets like to shrapnel apart like a hand grenade once they get in. If you can shoulder punch with those or double lung or vital neck shot the deer will fall within sight. I like less running on my critters if I can get it and light varmint bullets are my choice. I may get flamed but the 55 v max is devastating and if I had my choice a 120 ish in a tipped style like that in a 6.5 would be good in my book. I have some 123 ELDM I should send at some deer this year.
