My wife and I dont refrain from it either when it is needed. All the kids in the family whose parents refuse to give their kids a spanking are pretty low on good behavior. They dont get their way, outright tantrum throwing. Not in my house, we dont play that game. If I disrespected my mother, when dad got home he was already briefed and had a plan to deal with me, and he won 10/10 times on that deal. I now follow the same thing, you disrespect momma and Im going to handle it. But you cant force people to raise kids any particular way, but society is paying for all the passive parenting! I was taught how to make fires and made fires all the time, I got in trouble some but youre not supposed to make a fire in the bathroom sink.</p></blockquote><p></p>
