anyone else loading lee slugs ? i just started loading them and so far it seems like they are shoot good and they are fun to got and blast some slugs for cheap.
I haven't loaded any of their slugs yet, but I hot on their buckshot casting.
Never loaded slugs. What's the routine for crimping?
I am loading them exactly like shot with a fold crimp and shooting them out of a mod choke.
Cool. Commercial slugs have a roll crimp at the mouth of the shell, so I was wondering if there was a die for that. I have the RCBS Grand Shot Shell loader, and couldn't find any info about slugs.

At 50 yards I am shooting 4 inch groups out of a norinco m1897 and I can consistently hit a car door at 250.
the load I have worked up is
25gn win. super handicap
fed. gold match 2.75" hulls
Winchester primers
7/8oz claybuster wads
with 1 .070" nitro card
and then fold crimp and after I shoot them they look like every other hull that has had shot fired out of it.
Nitro card on bottom of the slug?
yeah it raises the slug up just enough because some of my shells were bulging because of the taper on the bottom of the shot cup I imagine if I found some better wads I wouldn't have to use the nitro cards.
