Now, with that all said, when will the citizenry of this country learn to stand up to the school administration and school boards over this nonsense? Back in the '80's when I was a school board member, I felt accountable to each and every student and parent.
Oh, CRUD!!!!! By saying I had been a school board member, I just admitted to being a "politician" and voluntarily put a bulls-eye on my person.
We've seen enough of these incidents to realize that it is not poor judgement on the part of one teacher or principal. It is the policy of the public education system to make firearms socially unacceptable. Firearms owners are the new lepers. First they came for the smokers and now we are next. We need to be speaking out and proud to be firearms owners..
Now the school is offering counseling for students that may have been traumatized by the pastry gun. The mentality of our society concerning guns is very frightening.
