And, yeah, I know...this one is closer to the 90's, but it's absolutely the very song that reminds me of Mrs GED. It was the spring of 1990 and I was in CLEET. Mrs GED and I had been married for 3 and a half years now, so we were really liking each other, if you know what I mean. I would stay in OKC all week and come home on Fridays. She would be at home waiting on me and we would leave a trail of clothes from the front door to the bedroom. God how I miss those days - young, wild and free!

Anyway...every time I hear this song, I go back to the middle of 1990.

The 80s. What can I say? It was the time of my youth. An awesome time as well as a very dark time for me and lots of other teenagers. I look back at the 80s and think about old friends, old enemies, first loves, first kisses, getting drunk, getting high, fist fights with your best buddy, getting into trouble, breaking curfew, awful break-ups that you think you'll never get over and school-time events that shape and mold us into who we are now and who we were then. If you missed it, then you just missed it. I could yak all day and half the night about the 80s and you still wouldn't understand. The music was just a small part of it. Just like this list of songs I picked. Hell, I could pick a million songs and still think of more. What can I say? The 80s rocked.

You just had to be there.
