Would someone enlighten me on felt recoil/vs grain of bullet. Does 115gr 9mm have more or less felt recoil than 147gr? My goal is to get back on target as fast as possible while shooting timed qualifiers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Did your point of impact change any when you switched to 147gr?

Felt recoil is highly subjective and varies widely from one person to another.
Personally, I like 124gr for 9mm; who knows what you will like?

Typically, recoil is less snappy with heavier bullets. Your sights will lift less at the same power factor with a heavy bullet vs. a lighter bullet. Go with the 147gr and you will be happy with the results.
Thanks for the info. I ordered some CORBON 147 grain. We'll see how it goes.
To get the most out of 147 subs, you'll need to reload. That way you can get them down to 125-130 PF.
These guys know there stuff. I will add one more thing, heavier bullets require less powder to achieve the same power factor. Plus one theory is the bullet is moving slower giving it more time to expand, lessening the chance of over penetration.
