[QUOTE="Mad Professor, post: 2899888, member: 5316"] That was my concern also. There are several things you can do to bring the muzzle out past the end of the handguard. I'm running the 3-lug adapter which adds an inch by itself to the barrel length. I have been shooting it with the 3-lug mount for the suppressor which adds another 1/2'. This results in it being 3/4" behind the rail. I have not experience any issues with the gas hitting my one finger that is partially exposed (the gas would have to come through the keymod holes). I also have a 3-lug muzzle device that will bring it past the handguard. I don't really like it because: A) manual lock instead of a spring lock. Although that big a deal on the MPX since you can pull the hinge pin and slide the handguard forward. B) It is heavy. It weighs 14oz which makes the MPX feel out of balance to me. Our Omega9K will be closer to 9oz. I'm thinking about putting it in a lathe and cutting some weight out of the inside of it. I have an second 3-lug mount that I have sent to a machine shop. He is going to thread a piece of aluminum tubing to fit the mount. I think it will work much better! I'll upload some photos. MPX with 3-lug manual lock device.
