I never have gotten used to a big knife. Always used a folding lock back for deer. Since a pig doesn't have a hide it takes a little more knife work. I have a large skinner but I just can't get the feel for it. I have way more knives than I need and really it doesn't take anything special for skinning animals. But I decided I would give this buck a try. It's not big and bulky.

I’ve got the same knife, but way older. I bought mine while working in a pawn shop in the early 90’s, and it was old then. Like you, I specifically bought it for hogs. A buddy and I were hunting them nearly every weekend back then.

That is the one knife that is packed with me on every big game hunt I ever go on.

I used it today and I think I'm going to like it.
