Okay...granted these were purchased nearly 30 years ago, but I could turn some coin on the 100 rds if I sold it in today’s market.
Recently acquired a Marlin 336 in 30-30.
I have 30-30 brass but no projectiles suitable for a tube fed rifle. I'll be on the lookout for some ballistic tip .308 bullets.
True. I don't cast bullets. I want the ballistic tip so I can run up the velocity over the factory loads. The 30-30 is pretty anemic velocity wise. I know they are a short to mid range cartridge but I like to play. I have a hundred .308 sabots that can put a 55 grain bullet close to 4000 fps from the 30-30. I have no idea how accuracy is, but might try it just to see. Kind of like the Remington accelerators that are no longer in production.30-30 is a good choice for cast bullets.

I'm a speed freek! LOL.I caught some of the Hornady 160 gr FTX at both Powder Valley and Cabelas last week I usually load for the thump rather than speed.
You can always run one chambered and one in the tube.True. I don't cast bullets. I want the ballistic tip so I can run up the velocity over the factory loads.
