We have voted absentee, and we have done the early voting at the County Election Board. We will be going to the polls in November. We just don't trust the USPS to get the ballots where they belong in a timely manner. And, when your ballot gets to the Election Board, somebody has to see to it that it is counted properly. I am more worried about plain old incompetence rather than dishonesty. That said, we had a mail carrier let go within the last several months for theft of mail. And, there was the time I listened to some workers at the polling place tell voters how to vote, i.e. who to vote for, when we voted at a retirement village. And, yes, I called their hands on it and reported it to the Election Board Secretary, for all the good that did. BTW - You can verify that your absentee ballot was counted, albeit way after the fact. I didn't know that until earlier this year, when we were still considering absentee voting this year. When you go to the Oklahoma Voter Portal and enter your information, it will bring up the options currently available to you, and your past absentee voting. It showed the date my ballot was received and the date it was counted. I didn't know that was there.
