[QUOTE="tRidiot, post: 3287530, member: 9374"] I'm kinda with you, Terry. I am not that into the idea - The Boy is gung ho, The Wife REALLY wants to try skiing at least once. <sigh> So that means I get to try it at least once. <sigh> I'm doing some research on Colorado and NM and I am leaning more and more toward Vermont. I mean, the prices aren't any cheaper, everything looks like a cookie-cutter condo rental, driving is a minimum of 10-13 hours (so two days bookending), etc. I don't think these would save us as much, and probably wouldn't feel as quaint as flying to Boston and driving out into Vermont, staying in a cabin in the hills, etc. We're purposely avoiding the condo rentals in Killington. Plus, trying to narrow down the million choices just of places to choose from in NM/CO, THEN trying to pick just the right place to stay, knowing nothing about it all... it's like information overload, and it seems from what I'm seeing online to be pretty commercialized, for sure.
