Most cemeteries have a section that they bury people in that cant afford a funeral service and they are usually buried in a wooden or cardboard casket and by federal law you can bury 2 people in the same spot aslong as the first one is buried deep enough to allow the 2nd on top of them.

We learned a lot from the funeral director that conducted Moms service if true.
There are natural cemetery’s where one can be buried in a sheet.
He said if one rented a box that distributed ashes that is expensive to rent, the area the ashes are spread on are exempted from property taxes with proper filing at the county.
Keep in mind I have not verified any of this.

Wait until they figure out they've desecrated some ancient, long-forgotten Indian burial sight. Good grief ...

Pretty sure the Indians didn't nail coffins together.

Pretty sure a "mass grave" would be filled with bodies, covered up. No coffin, and probably not in a cemetery.
