Couldn't stand not being a boat owner any longer, and got a 15 foot jon boat with a 42" beam. Usually run it on a 30# electric, but have a Suzuki 2.5 4 stroke for longer runs and trolling. So, big water is pretty much out of the question. It's great for ponds, and some smaller lakes on good days will be doable. Years ago I fished a little at American Horse, and it was a great bluegill lake. I hear it has been under repairs, and am wondering if they let it fill up in the recent rains. A quick internet search showed up with a lot of old info. Any current info on this will be appreciated. Also, what small waters do you recommend? I live in NW OKC, so the closer the better. Not really a meat fisherman. Nearly everything I catch gets to go right back in the water. Any info would be appreciated.
