Neckbearding and ammo hoarding aren’t fully to blame for the ammunition shortages based on all the videos that I’ve seen that spoke directly to or interviewed the ammunition manufacturers. There are several million new gun owners that we didn’t have this time last year and even if they just a few boxes of ammunition, it adds up. Coupled with material, supply chain issues and Remington shutting down due to bankruptcy, it made one hell of a perfect storm for ammunition availability. Oh, the overseas ammunition manufacturers also had the same issues, too. Neckbearding, ammo hoarding, and poor planning (I mean why wouldn’t you buy a lifetime supply of ammunition in every caliber.) seem to be the same old scapegoats in every thread about ammo. I’m about as tired of seeing and reading ammunition threads as I am seeing people go back and forth about COVID and masks wearing.
