I stopped by Atwood's tonight just to look around. Back in the gun department, I found ammo prices are getting higher.

July 22, 2021: From Atwood's 9mm 124 grain Federal FMJ at $14.99 for 50 rounds and Federal 9mm 124 grain Punch Personal Defense Jacketed Hollow Point at $12.99 for 20 rounds. Limit 2 boxes total per day.

August 7, 2021: From Atwood's 9mm 124 grain Federal FMJ at $19.99 for 50 rounds and Federal 9mm 124 grain Punch Personal Defense Jacketed Hollow Point at $18.99 for 20 rounds. Limit 2 boxes total per day.

September 4, 2021: From Atwood's 9mm 124 grain Winchester FMJ $29.99 for 50 rounds and none of the Federal in stock.

They do have a good selection of handguns and rifles, just not as much selection of ammo today.

Shop and don’t buy, ammo can be found more affordable. Academy and Atwoods in yukon, both had decent( not trump cheap) but decent priced ammo in 5.56 & 9mm. Sgammo has 7.62x39 for under .40cpr

That makes that $600 mark up on the 7.62x39 in the classifieds look even more laughable.

I have heard that part of the increase in price is due to the price and availability of lead. Demand for lead is up because of the "pandemic" and people let their cars sit, the battery needs to be replaced, and lead is in short supply. Under the president before the last (no names mentioned), we stopped mining lead in the US.
