Did a walkabout on the Queen Mary and took this picture of the Anti Aircraft gun that was a part of the ship during the war.
During WWII, the QM was painted grey (thus the name the Grey Ghost) and used as a troop carrier during the war. It was the fastest troop ship in the world (at the time) and churchill considered it a major factor in the success of the war. It was so important that Adolph Hitler put a $250,000.00 bounty on her and would award the Iron cross to who ever sank her.
This weapon was originally mounted on the rear of the boat but moved to the front later after the war.

Could be wrong but I thought that California banned 40mm anti-aircraft guns? Wait ... is this a "ghost gun"? Does it have a "bullet button" or run on a "magazine clip"? Bayonet?
