[QUOTE="SPDguns, post: 3782900, member: 17621"] I'm helping a friend sell this, so I don't have a dog in the fight. It is a Henry Richards 12 GA. 30" Damascus barrels. All the parts are there and it functions and locks as it should. It has really cool engraving. Here's the provenance- I'm pretty sure Napoleon shot grouse with it to feed his troops on the way to Waterloo. It gets a little sketchy here, but it next appears in history when George Washington crossed the Delaware with it. It clearly rode in the bottom of the boat evidenced by the slight rust patina. The gun was carried by then-at-the-time Major G.A. Custer at the Battle of Medium Big Horn. Major Custer was later promoted and the Battle of Little Big Horn took place not long after and his victory at Medium Big Horn was soon forgotten in the headlines. The gun is next rumored to be carried by General MacArthur when he returned to the Philippines. History would disagree but he dropped the shotgun the first time he was there and the reason he really returned was to retrieve it. Anyway, note the fine craftsmanship of the copper wire wrapped around the wrist of the stock. Be advised the price has been adjusted for the current spot price of copper and is subject to price increase if spot for copper goes up. "Jus sayin"..... $250 FTF Stillwater. More pics on request.
