I'm having sort of a "duh, I don't know" moment.

Are there any semiauto .17HMR pistols out there?

Other than the Taurus Tracker, what about revolvers?

I've shot it in a bolt action rifle and sort of like the round but can't recall seeing a pistol chambered for the round.

Thanks

Dave

My brain is foggy with some really good burbon, but there were a couple of guns out there that chambered that round.

I don't know if the internet rumor was true, but it was said that the .17hmr could penetrate body armor, and it was quietly taken off the market in pistols.

This may be total BS. Just relying on what I've read in the past, and as we all know, the internet posts the truth.

The 17 HMR had problems being reliable in a semiauto platform in rifles. It seems that Alexander arms and volquartsen have it figured out in a rifle, but I have never seen/heard of a pistol in 17hmr. I would like to see a keltec PMR 30 in 17 hmr, but you could never get your hands on one if they did make one. I have been waiting to get my hands on one for a couple of years now in 22 mag.
