I have a lap top that is a little over a year old. In the last month it has become real slow. I took it to Geek Squad today at BestBuy. He said he did not have time to scan it, but that he thought the hard drive was going bad. I am not a computer guy, but I thought he could have put more effort into it then just a guess. He maybe right. Does anyone in the Yukon area work on these on the side or could maybe tell me what is wrong. The spyware scan and the virus scan do not pick up anything. It takes it like 4 hours to run a spyware scan. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.
there is a little shop directly west of the walmart on council. Little asian barber and computer fixer. Guy is fair and fast. Cleaned up a couple of my machines over the years. Will give you a pretty good idea of what you need right up front.
Before you spend any money on it, use your recovery CD that you made when it was new and restore the thing from scratch. If you don't have one, make one NOW before you let anyone touch it. And back up your data too.
