Anybody ever use govplanet?

Or any of the Ritchie brothers auction sites like iron planet? I always see cool and useful stuff on there that I want to buy. I understand you have to go pick it up or arrange transport, but I wonder how easy the process is.

Are you looking at those shipping containers? Prices seem fair for the size. I can remember when a person could get the 20 footers for 2500. I don’t know what the go for now but I bet it’s upward of 4K

There have been a couple episodes of Dirt Every Day where they buy army trucks from GovPlanet. I skimmed it once 5 years ago but I couldn't afford anything I truly wanted haha

It's ok for retail. I quit buying when they moved off gov liquidation.
Best was back when you bought off the drmo direct cause they sold it for whatever it brought.

I’m just looking at things like the big pelican and hardigg boxes, toolboxes, and trailers. Maybe MREs. Doing a little resale on the side wouldn’t be bad.

I was browsing through gov planet awhile back. I wanted one of those Freightliner/Unimogs. I could care less about the attachments. I’d probably try to sell those and build up the Unimog for off road.

I've looked on the GovPlanet site quite a few times 5 or 6 years ago when I was considering purchasing a military hummer....I never did pull the trigger but back then items sold for top bid and many times the top bid was next to nothing.

Everything I've been interested in on there is overpriced. I've bought directly from GSA a few times at much better prices.
