I’m curious of what you think of the DP-12. I’ve been giving this one a lot of consideration lately but I would like to hear from somebody who actually owns one.
I haven’t shot my new one yet, but I had one before. It’s the most devastating shotgun I’ve ever owned. 16 rounds of 00 buck. No boogie man is getting in my place. The first time I shot it at an indoor range the manager almost pooped his pants. I was double-tapping as fast as I could and he ran in yelling what the hell was I doing. He thought I was shooting something illegal. He ended up taking some of my used shells off the ground to show his boss. They were just normal Remington 2 3/4 shells. Anyway he came back and said it was ok to keep shooting. I like the DP12. It fills the niche as my zombie gun. Something that would take down a crowd entering my front door. I live in an apartment for now, since I just moved back to Oklahoma, so this wouldn’t be my first pick as a home defense gun. It’s heavy but relatively compact once you have it tucked into your shoulder, so you can get around corners. It not as pinpoint accurate as a single barrel though and I don’t want to throw any rounds at my neighbors. Hence the zombie gun. If your ever in the need of a lot of lead and quick devastating power, the DP12 is the first gun I’d pick. No doubt about it.

I have been waiting for Aimpoint to get the PRO back in stock. They finally got some so I jumped in and got one on the way.
Aimpoints have been in short supply lately.
I was also wanting an ACRO, Got a message the other day that they received some and by the time I read the message and went to Aimpoint to get one they were already gone.
Aimpoint PRO will be in Monday.

Talked a fellow forum member out of this Remington model 12.

The serial number dates it to Dec 1930.

Edit:
I goofed. This has the single patent #, no date codes, no model # stamped, and SN were reused.
This actually makes it from 1911.

Not bad at all. It’s a stout gun with a good recoil pad, which absorbs a lot of the recoil. I’m an “old” 57 with a decent amount of physical issues and I shot my old one without any problems or bruises. Granted I only shoot 2 3/4 shells at my ripe age. If you become interested in buying one let me know. I’d be willing to give you a deal on this one. My grandson gave me his Mossberg SPX (new) because it’s going to be considered an assault shotgun under Illinois law soon. I wasn’t considering selling the DP12, but If you’re in the market for one, I have one.
