No malfunctions at all.</p><p>Remington Golden Bullet - One fail to eject/feed (more on this later).</p><p>Federal Bulk Pack from Wal Mart - No malfunctions at all.</p><p>CCI 40 grain RN Mini Mags - No malfunctions at all.</p><p></p><p>I couldn't resist doing the two-gun rapid fire with these ladies (Rem Golden Bullet),,,</p><p>That was a blast to just mindlessly send 32 rounds downrange as fast as I could pull the triggers.</p><p></p><p>I had that one fail to eject/feed during this,,,</p><p>But I honestly believe that it was because I held the guns very close together,,,</p><p>I think what happened was that the gun in my left hand ejected the empty properly enough,,,</p><p>But I think it hit the right hand gun and literally bounced back into the action of the left hand gun.</p><p></p><p>I even ran the remains of my "odd ball ammo" through one of them,,,</p><p>That's the plastic jar that has the leftovers from many different ammo brands,,,</p><p>I loaded the rounds ( at least 5 different kinds) and rapid fired 48 rounds with no malfunctions.</p><p></p><p>At 15 yards I was holding a nice cluster of holes on the target,,,</p><p>But I was a bit put off that both guns were shooting high,,,</p><p>Then I adjusted my aim to "Pumpkin on a Post",,,</p><p>The clusters moved down to the bulls eye.</p><p></p><p>When I stretched the distance to 25 yards,,,</p><p>The cluster grew a bit but was still on center target.</p><p></p><p>Not that my 71 year old eyes hit the bulls eye every time,,,</p><p>But at least dang near every shot was on the 6" paper.</p><p></p><p>Somehow I had it in my head that these were striker fired guns,,,</p><p>But reading the manual they are a standard single-action with internal hammer.</p><p></p><p>So when you chamber a round,,,</p><p>Your pistol is now ready to fire.</p><p></p><p>The safety is the only thing that will prevent it from firing,,,</p><p>I wish it had a decocker or some other way to "lower the hammer" but that's just me.</p><p></p><p>It's pretty much the same for all single-action firearms, isn't it?</p><p></p><p>The trigger on both guns feels exactly the same to me,,,</p><p>They both are very light on the pull,,,</p><p>And reset nicely.</p><p></p><p>Easily as nice as my Ruger SR-22 in single-action mode,,,</p><p>Without the long-hard pull of the double-action first shot mode.</p><p></p><p>The pistols came with three mags each,,,</p><p>Which is a bonus worth at least $60 to $70 dollars for other guns,,,</p><p>But mags for the P17 are relatively inexpensive at $14.99 a piece at Buds.</p><p></p><p>My friend got 4 extra mags when he ordered the pistols,,,</p><p>So I have 5 mags each for the two pistols,,,</p><p>I'll leave the four extras unopened.</p><p></p><p>The mags are plastic,,,</p><p>And like all high-cap mags,,,</p><p>Just a bit hard to load all 16 rounds into.</p><p></p><p>There is no follower button to hold down while loading,,,</p><p>And there is no opening to see how many rounds are in the magazine,,,</p><p>So when you are loading you must keep count of the rounds as you load the mags.</p><p></p><p>That's a bit of a bummer but what the heck,,,</p><p>Nothing I can't get used to.</p><p></p><p>The barrels are threaded for a suppressor which I'll never utilize,,,</p><p>Each pistol does come with a thread adaptor & wrench,,,</p><p>And a barrel nut to protect the threads.</p><p></p><p>They even came with a cute little "range flag",,,</p><p>I'll probably lose them fairly soon,,,</p><p>But they were a nice touch.</p><p></p><p>Tear down is very easy indeed,,,</p><p>And the manual is easy to read with lots of images.</p><p></p><p>So overall I am very pleased with these two pistols,,,</p><p>I believe they will make great trainers for my newbie friends,,,</p><p>And if someone wanted to carry a .22 as a self defense weapon,,,</p><p>I think the 16 round capacity and ease of use would make these ideal candidates.</p><p></p><p>With shipping, transfer fee, <strong>4 extra mags</strong>, and 9.313% state sales tax,,,</p><p>I paid a grand total of $603.84 (that's $301.92 each) for them,,,</p><p>But even at that being $101.93 over the MSRP,,,</p><p>I don't feel overcharged at all.</p><p></p><p>Except for that sales tax rate,,,</p><p>But that's another can of worms.</p><p></p><p>Now I just hafta get off of my dead arse,,,</p><p>And make that Black Widow two gun rig for them.</p><p></p><p>Aarond</p><p></p><p>.</p></blockquote><p></p>
