Hey fellas. So sorry I wasn't able to get on here earlier and provide an update. Work was absolutely non-stop today and I'm just now getting done. I sent a text to James this evening and he told me that his normal scrap guy wasn't able to provide him his current price due to him being out of the office. He told me that he'd try again tomorrow. Sorry to keep dragging this out. I didn't think I'd be waiting two days to give you all the final price per pound, but it appears as though that's the case. I'll touch base with him tomorrow for an update. Good news though. During my conversation with James this evening, we discussed how we were going to separate out all of the lead for everyone into the weights that each person is requesting. James is going to purchase a bunch of 5 gallon plastic buckets and we'll weigh out everyone's orders and label them for each person. He has a large hallway on the side of his shop that will be perfect for storing all of everyone's lead until they can pick it up. Wish I had more news for you, but today was a royal pain, apparently for more people than just me! More details to follow as soon as I get them. FYI - he's excited to sell this lead to a bunch of people who'll be using it for shooting. He told me that he normally pays a company to come to his range, collect all the lead, haul it off and pay him a cut of the scrap price. Selling it to OSA will net him a little better price per pound since he won't be sharing the cut with a 3rd party, and we all get lead at a great price without having to go and pick it up for ourselves at a range! He used to cast a lot of bullets himself. The other day he showed me some of his equipment in the back of his shop. He had 3 different furnaces, and a ton of molds for different rounds. He told me that he used to be into it pretty heavily, but as his business grew, he had less time for casting and reloading. Most of his equipment just sits there unused anymore. Thanks.
