I went to Ruidoso for a snowboard trip several years back. Entire mountain was icy. We went to Sipapu, NM last year and had a great time. Its just a few miles down the road from Taos and not to mention its dirtcheap compared to other places. However the mountain Sipapu is located on is quite a bit smaller than Wolf Creek and the place we went in Ruidoso. Taos now allows Snowboards. If I had to rank my enjoyment of the mountain for my 3 trips over the years as a snowboarder, it would be like this: #1 Wolf Creek #2 Sipapu #3 Reserved #4 Reserved #5 Ruidoso Enjoyment based on $ #1 Sipapu #2 #3 Wolf Creek #4 Ruidoso
