I have been tying flies since the late 70's and started fly fishing a couple of years before that.


I usually start the year off fly fishing for sand bass in early spring when they start making their way up the creeks.


Next on the list is smallmouth bass.


Then largemouth bass.


Once the weather starts to warm up, it's time for some serious carp on the fly!


Once the temperature reaches 90 degrees, it's time for channel cat on the fly and I'll do this all summer long.


I catch drum on the fly mid summer, and these fish are a lot of fun to catch and a big one will definitely put a stretch in your line and always take you deep into your backing, just like what carp do!!!
