So I'm debating about getting one of these VR (virtual reality) setups for my son for Christmas. It's either that, or buy myself another gun, lol. The Wife said no, but I have the cash set back I can do it as a surprise without touching the rest of our 'Christmas budget'. What I'm looking for is opinions. Is it worth it? Is it fun? I've read a bunch of reviews online, seems the biggest gripes are sometimes a slightly grainy image and the headset can get uncomfortable after long(ish) use. But the portability to other places is nice - he could take it to a friend's house for overnight stays. Remapping to new spaces sounds easy. No cords or need for a computer. I'm just curious if anyone here has one and has found it to be fun, or was it a momentary novelty that quickly got old?
